Canon released a firmware update for the Canon T2i and 550D which fixes “a phenomenon in which the set aperture moves unexpectedly when shooting movies in manual exposure mode using some Canon lenses (such as macro lenses).” It is always a good idea to keep your camera up to date so I recommend to all owners to update.

Gizmodo put out a review for the Canon T2i and this thing really does stack up well next to some of the mid-range cameras’ with out strangling your wallet.
“Canon’s Rebel T2i is an incredible camera—everything a first DSLR should be. It takes fantastic photos (and, crucially, video) for the price, it’s easy to use, and perhaps most importantly, it’s a camera you can grow with.
But there’s no shame in using it if you really know what you’re doing, either.“
This review just reassured me that I made the right decision in my purchase.

This was my first video using my Canon T2i. I used a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. No grading. Straight from camera to edit to compression to web. It’s a little shaky, but I didn’t us anything to stabilize so it is what it is.
I attempted to have sort of a story in this. I don’t know how well it reads, but for just a bunch of random clips I took walking around the beach with my girlfriend I’m happy.
